How to get operator on your Minecraft Server

Giving operator to players gives them full control over the server. They can grief, edit permissions, and stop the server all from the game.

Only give operator permissions to people you trust.

  1. Visit the Nether Host Panel and login
  2. Select "Manage" on the server you would like to give yourself an operator on.
  3. Start the server, if you have not already.
  4. In the console tab, locate the textbox below the console. This box contains the sentence "Type a command"

  1. In this box, type op username. Of course, replace username with the in-game name of the player you would like to make an operator.
  2. Enter the command, and join your server.

You have now added an operator to your Minecraft server. With this permission, you can bypass all server restrictions.
