Adding a Subdomain to your server.

This page will teach you everything you need to know about subdomains on Nether Host.

At Nether Host, we currently offer 2 subdomains for our users to choose from.

  • netherserver.com
  • servermc.xyz

Subdomains are pretty much a prefix. Your subdomain will consist of a domain above, and whatever you want before it. Take for example I have a server called ExampleMC, I can make my subdomain examplemc.netherserver.com or examplemc.servermc.xyz.

If you want a domain such as `examplemc.net` or `examplemc.com`, you need to purchase these from a domain registrar such as Name.com or GoDaddy

Adding a Subdomain

Adding a subdomain to your server is a fairly straightforward process.

  1. Visit the Nether Host Panel and login.
  2. Select "Manage" on the server you would like to add the subdomain to.
  3. On the left-hand side of the screen, select "Subdomain"

On this screen, you have a couple of options.

  • "Subdomain" is the prefix that comes before the domain.
  • "Domain" is one of the two options mentioned above
  1. Choose the subdomain you would like, and select "Create"
  2. The subdomain will be created if it is not already taken.

Issues

If you run into any issues with your subdomain, this could be because of 2 possible reasons.

Your subdomain is already taken.

If the subdomain is already taken by a server, then it will fail to get created. There is nothing we can do about this.

Issues with subdomain extension.

Sometimes our subdomain extension can be a bit buggy when working with managing DNS. If you encounter this problem, please open a ticket in our Discord Server
